Privacy Policy

The CCD Educator Wellness Portal (the “Portal”) is operated by The Center for Child Development (“CCD,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect from Portal members, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written for the educators and school staff who use the Portal.

What we collect

• Account information — your name, work email address, role/job title, and (optionally) the school you select at signup.
• Usage activity — which resources you view, download, save, or mark complete, and when. This powers features like your saved list and lets us understand which resources are useful.
• Content you submit — if you are a content contributor, the materials and information you provide through the contribution form.

We do not collect health information about you, and the Portal is not a place to record information about individual students. Please do not enter student names or student records anywhere in the Portal.

How we use it

• To operate your account — approval, sign-in, password resets, and membership level.
• To provide Portal features — your saved resources, viewing history, and recommendations.
• To send service emails — account approval, and occasional notices about new resources. These come from our own domain.
• To report aggregate usage to partner schools — for example, how many staff at a school are registered and which resources are most used. We do not show schools which individual staff member viewed which resource.
• To improve the Portal and decide what content to create next.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your individual viewing activity with your school or employer.
• We do not use advertising trackers on the Portal.

Who processes your data

The Portal runs on trusted service providers who store or transmit data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Vimeo (video hosting). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Retention and your choices

• We keep your account information while your account is active.
• You may ask us to correct your information or to delete your account and associated activity — email us at the address below and we will act on the request within 30 days.
• You can stop using the Portal at any time; access can also be ended by CCD or your school’s partnership ending.

Security

Accounts require email verification and individual approval by CCD staff. Data is protected with role-based access rules, and premium or unpublished content is restricted at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the kind of data the Portal holds.

Children

The Portal is for adult educators and school staff. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Printable classroom materials are used by educators with students on paper — students do not use the Portal.

Changes and contact
